PAIGE

The love of country music for Paige started sometime in the 1970's as she would belt out tunes of the Everly Brothers while standing in line for the rollercoaster at Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee.  Growing up on Rock N Roll in NJ, WABC radio and influences of country artists like Dolly Parton and Glen Campbell,  it was during the early 1990's while at a gas station Paige heard Alison Krauss and Union Station sing songwriter Keith Whitley's  "When You Say Nothing At All".  At that moment hearing that song, Paige knew she was in love with influences that she was hearing in New Country music and the blend of genre's which she connected to such as Bluegrass, and Blues, all with a blend of Rock and Pop giving this New Country music an edge.  Immediately it inspired her and had her learning songs of all the new artists on Country Billboard radio and everything she could about the history of Country music.

Paige started her first New Country Band in the 1990s in NJ and continuously made trips to Nashville where she had the wonderful opportunity to sing on the stages of the Wildhorse Saloon, Layla's, and the Benchmark.  She did vocal training in NYC with Andy Anselmo and worked with lessons of Renee Grant Williams vocal coaching.  After a long hiatus raising her son, Paige started singing again in 2012 and started "Tennessee Honey Band" with Jonathan Huneke and Chris Binns until both guitarists moved from NJ to Oregon and FL.

In May of 2021, Paige started singing again and connected with Jim and Mike to hone an acoustic sound for Tennessee Honey Band.

MIKE

Mike started playing guitar in the 7th grade and has been playing ever since. He originally studied jazz guitar and began his semi-professional music career in the late 70’s. He regularly performed live 3 to 4 nights a week playing everything from rock to jazz to blues and R&B.

He honed his singing and the ability to sing harmonies while performing with an R&B band in the 80’s where 4-part vocal harmonies were the standard. Mike has performed at the world-famous Bitter End night club in New York City. He also currently performs with a classic rock band where he plays electric guitar and sings both lead and backing vocals.

He discovered country music in 2003 with the release of Sugarland’s first album. Ever since then, Mike has listened to and played songs from a variety of country artists. One of Mike’s favorite country artists is fellow guitarist, Brad Paisley. Mike has amassed quite a collection of electric and acoustic guitars and guitar amplifiers over the years. When you ask him how many guitars and amps he has, he will always give you the same answer, “not enough”.

JIM

Jim has been playing in acoustic, classic rock, and tribute bands in the area for decades.  He always had an affinity for classic rock and 80's rock music and has provided rhythm guitar and vocals for many rock bands.  He has played at many of the big clubs in Delaware, PA, New Jersey, and NYC.  After spending time in Nashville, he developed an interest in country music and loved the New Country artists along with their harmonies.   Jim started seeking other musicians to start or join a band that would bring this type of music to the area.  When he found Tennessee Honey Band, he realized that this was the sound he was looking for.

When Jim is not playing with THB, you may find him impersonating Paul Stanley including costumes and makeup for one of the KISS tribute bands in the tri-state area.
Bio THB
Tennessee Honey Band's sound is distinctly that of experiencing "Country Crossroads and Campfire Sessions", reminiscent of that Nashville Country sound"
